Disturbed sleep

2/16/2014

Hello everyone

I was trying to think about something interesting to talk about today and thought my own case would be a good start. While in this blog I won't go into complete detail I will just give you a little bit about what I think I need at the moment. My little baby is 11 months old now and still has trouble sleeping through the night. Last night was particularly terrible. She woke up every half hour, very restless. I was trying to figure out why it was that bad and then realized I gave her a dose of arsenicum right before bed because she came in contact with someone who has a very nasty cough and I wanted to protect her from getting sick. While I was able to do that with the arsenicum, she kept me up all night. So what remedy is given for disturbed sleep due to night-watching (in my case nursing baby)?

ANSWER:

cocculus!

This remedy is also for jetlag. It is indicated where there is an extreme loss of sleep due to external factors (in other words not your own body waking yourself up). I'm going to take a dose right now!

You guessed it! Aconite was the remedy given! No one was trembling from the shock...if that was the case, what remedy would that have changed to?

Yup...Gelsemium!

Good job everyone!

Panic, Shock!

Hi everyone!

I'm in NC assisting in teaching, seeing clients and getting some hyperbaric oxygen treatments for myself. I want to tell you a little bit about an experience I had after finishing my hyperbaric. I was waiting for my mom and sisters to be done with their clients. While that was going on, I was chatting with the director of the chamber facility. As I am chatting, in the corner of my eye, I saw the gentleman that was in the chamber tapping on the window of the chamber. I told the director And she immediately was trying to see if he was ok. He wanted to get out of the chamber because he was feeling panicky and claustrophobic (that's what we thought because you can't hear anything)...so she begins the decompression. As you may know once you are pressurized, you can not just immediately open the door of the chamber: you have to be decompressed and slowly come up. The process usually lasts about 15 minutes. A few minutes into the decompression, he was really beginning to panic. My mom stood by the window of the chamber and tried to talk to him and calm him down and make sure he was breathing properly to prevent a full blown panic attack. It was a very stressful situation for everyone involved: even the onlookers! Because of him panicking, his breathing became labored. Now everyone is worrying! 911 was called because we do not know the situation inside the chamber. Chaos much!

So long story short, he was fine as soon as the door was opened!

What remedy did EVERYONE have to take?

Ill give you a few moments to try to figure it out and give you the answer tomorrow morning!

Here are some interesting studies I found today:

To lower risk of type 2 diabetes by 24%, eat yogurt 4-5 times per week!

Vitamin C in large doses found to cure cancer...not new information to us but finally the conventional side admits it. So go get your vitamin C drips! If you want any referrals let me know and I can point you in the right direction!

Another article I found talked about knowing early signs of stroke before its too late...so what remedy would you give?

Arnica is the #1 remedy to stop the bleeding almost immediately..highest potency you have

Anti-inflammatory tumeric tea

In light of the crazy weather we are having I want to share with you a tea I made that is both anti-inflammatory and yummy at the same time!

1 tsp tumeric

One orange

One cup honey

2 cups water

You need to prepare the oranges and honey ahead of time...cut orange in slices and place in a Pyrex or Tupperware container. Stack slices in container and pour honey over each slice until completely covered with honey. Seal container. Let sit 4 hours or longer.

When you're ready for tea boil 2 cups water with tumeric and pour in some of the honey and orange juice from container (about 2tbs worth). I like to put in a slice of orange as well. Let cocktail boil 5 minutes and voilà!! You're ready to go!

Enjoy!!!

Part 2 Calc Carb in an oyster shell

The last thing I want to do is leave you with an impression that calc carbs are just lazy and over-weight people. Certainly that is not what I want you to know. I want you to be able to see the beauty of every remedy picture and be able to understand them instead of mock or belittle them. surely we laugh when we read something's because it so closely reminds us of someone we know that fits the picture, but in the words of one of my moms professors, "have respect for the remedies!"

With that being said...a blurb on calc carb part 2

These people just radiate a sense of genuine innocence. It isn't any wonder they are called "gentle giant", "big mush", and "teddy bear"

They have a sense of loyalty and devotion to their family and friends. When you are privileged to be in their circle they will protect you with every way they know how. They are by no means violent but can definitely give off an intimidating impression by their sheer presence alone.

Amidst their size and husky appearance you will find a very fearful person. They have an immense fear of something bad happening and dread bodily pain/harm.

They are also hypochondriacs! They think they have every disease. WebMD is a website they visit often...daily! Just reading about an illness and they think they have it!

What jobs will you most likely find a calc carb? Bouncers...of course! Most of the time their size is the most threatening thing about them but we know they are a mush! A truck driver...what better way to make money-sit and drive pretty much all day long. This is certainly not a lycopodiums choice for a job...too routine for them! A chef of course! Cook And taste food and get paid...win win for a calc carb! food critic is another one they would love to do.

Calc carbs are VERY religious...not fanatic like a veratrum album but there is a genuine love and curiosity for God. Children especially will show a fascination for God and ask very interesting questions.

Just a few thought on calc carb...hope you enjoyed!

Any requests for another remedy?

Snow safety with remedies

Hello everyone!

If you live in the tri-state area I'm sure you already noticed the white stuff...again! I am taking advantage of this to share with you some remedies to stay safe if you have to be outdoors. Here are some remedies that can help you.

For frostbite think of Agaricus first!

If you hair or head gets wet in these cold temperatures, take Belladonna preventatively so it won't progress to a head cold.

If you are exposed to a very windy draft, take Aconite preventatively as well.

If you accidentally fall from Ice remember the first remedy to think of is Arnica!

Remember also it's February and if you haven't already done so, take your influenzinum dose to prevent flu!

Hope these are some helpful tips and as always if you have a question just leave a comment and I will try my best to answer it!

Stay warm!
