So to fill you in on my little princess... I have her Arsenicum 30c one dose to cover my bases because with an 11month old who can only babble at this point, it's pretty hard to know where everything is coming from. So to rule out food poisoning I immediately have her a dose of Ars and some swigs of pedialyte of course to replenish electrolytes lost. Half an hour later she took her normal nap for about an hour. when she woke up her fever as 100.5! So I knew I had to give a different remedy. I found Nux Vomica came up number one when I repertorized with the program. I can show you a copy of the rubrics I used. I gave her one dose 30c. Within 30 minutes, she wanted to eat her gluten free puff cereal and drink water! I gave her one more dose since then and her temperature is back to normal, no more vomiting! nice to have her back to her regular self! Hello! Having a baby you always have a patient to test your remedies on! Grace-Kelly woke up today not wanting to eat, drink, very fussy and feverish. Her temperature was 99.5. I tried to feed her 1/4 tsp of food...she refused! About 15 minutes later projectile vomit all over the floor, her and me! What remedies did I give? Ill post the answer in a few hours...feel free to leave your answers in a comment. As promised, I am going to present to you a remedy whose constitution is extremely common yet it is one of the most under-prescribed remedies. You might ask yourself why? Lachesis has so many close similarities to remedies like: PHOSPHOURS, SULPHUR, STAPHYSAGRIA, LYCOPODIUM AND HYOSCYAMUS.
Lachesis has some known affinities for certain organs and systems in the body: CARDIOVASCULAR, and THROAT. And of course their peculiar symptoms that show they cannot stand any tight or constrictive clothing and also their symptoms are relieved when they have a discharge.
Lachesis has an over-stimulation on every plane: mental, emotional, physical and nervous. If this is so, that means they are going to need an outlet of some sort to maintain a kind of sanity. Their outlets are shown in symptoms such as: restlessness, anticipation anxiety, hypersensitivity, being easily offended, sensitive to criticism, melancholy and depression. This is part 1...Lachesis is such a big remedy that I will present in different parts! Stay tuned! Hello everyone I was trying to think about something interesting to talk about today and thought my own case would be a good start. While in this blog I won't go into complete detail I will just give you a little bit about what I think I need at the moment. My little baby is 11 months old now and still has trouble sleeping through the night. Last night was particularly terrible. She woke up every half hour, very restless. I was trying to figure out why it was that bad and then realized I gave her a dose of arsenicum right before bed because she came in contact with someone who has a very nasty cough and I wanted to protect her from getting sick. While I was able to do that with the arsenicum, she kept me up all night. So what remedy is given for disturbed sleep due to night-watching (in my case nursing baby)? ANSWER: cocculus! This remedy is also for jetlag. It is indicated where there is an extreme loss of sleep due to external factors (in other words not your own body waking yourself up). I'm going to take a dose right now! You guessed it! Aconite was the remedy given! No one was trembling from the shock...if that was the case, what remedy would that have changed to? Yup...Gelsemium! Good job everyone! Hi everyone! I'm in NC assisting in teaching, seeing clients and getting some hyperbaric oxygen treatments for myself. I want to tell you a little bit about an experience I had after finishing my hyperbaric. I was waiting for my mom and sisters to be done with their clients. While that was going on, I was chatting with the director of the chamber facility. As I am chatting, in the corner of my eye, I saw the gentleman that was in the chamber tapping on the window of the chamber. I told the director And she immediately was trying to see if he was ok. He wanted to get out of the chamber because he was feeling panicky and claustrophobic (that's what we thought because you can't hear anything)...so she begins the decompression. As you may know once you are pressurized, you can not just immediately open the door of the chamber: you have to be decompressed and slowly come up. The process usually lasts about 15 minutes. A few minutes into the decompression, he was really beginning to panic. My mom stood by the window of the chamber and tried to talk to him and calm him down and make sure he was breathing properly to prevent a full blown panic attack. It was a very stressful situation for everyone involved: even the onlookers! Because of him panicking, his breathing became labored. Now everyone is worrying! 911 was called because we do not know the situation inside the chamber. Chaos much! So long story short, he was fine as soon as the door was opened! What remedy did EVERYONE have to take? Ill give you a few moments to try to figure it out and give you the answer tomorrow morning! Hello everyone! Sorry for not posting yesterday...as you can see I was very busy as my sister in law was preparing to deliver her baby girl Megan Martine Calache! It was a VERY difficult delivery with a 27 hour active labour!!!!!! The remedies help her along but ms. Megan wasn't ready to make her debut just yet-she enjoyed keeping everyone on their toes! My mom (Martine) and my sister (Christine) were her doulas and assisted her nicely! I babysat my nephew and of course my baby grace-Kelly...a lil handful...well a lot handful but worth it! Talk to you tomorrow! Chao and enjoy! If you've ever had a reason to juice here it is...how about putting chocolate in your juice!!! Dark chocolate or better yet pure cacao! Yum yum yum |
